“Support Science – lecture at “Breda Filo Classroom”

The mission of every university library is to provide support to the teaching and research endeavours of faculties and the university. We will present the proper and ethical use of e-sources in research (quotations, plagiarism), how to expand your research reach and publicity (social networks for scientists and researchers – ResearchGate, LinkedIn, etc.; researcher identifiers – ResearcherID, Scopus Author ID, ORCID, etc.), and how to find reliable research sources (“Raziskovalni vodiči”, UMNIK, BrowZine, OPAC) and publication guidelines (dubious publishing practice, open source). In the same way as Marie Skłodowska-Curie was looking for, and breaking, her boundaries, we wish to show our visitors that the boundaries exist only in our head, and show them how the library can contribute to breaking these boundaries.
