Ubiquitous Computing
printLocation: Taverna, Koper
Time: 14:00 - 22:00
More and more everyday objects and devices have the ability to process data and connect to the internet. These devices are becoming also more powerful and present, as their miniaturization, increasing processor power and lower price have enabled their transition from our desktops to our pockets and to our bodies. In this way, these computing devices have already become an indispensable part of our lives and enable us to expand our mental, physical and behavioral capabilities.
Our researchers will present a variety of uses of ubiquitous computing systems intended for fun and to encourage creativity (3D-Virtual tracing, PanMap – Interactive panoramic maps, Bobri Voz interactive comic, echolocation or. navigating with audio). Visitors will be able to use presented systems and learn how these can change our lives.
